Located near the intersection of Slide Road and 98th Street (9812 Vinton Avenue) in Lubbock, Wedgewood South is licensed by the Texas Department of Human Services.  It offers 49 units and has licensed capacity for 68 residents.  This allows for several units to be rented to couples.  Wedgewood South offers three homes with three different floor plans to choose from as well as the beautifully appointed Dover Suites, a "home" with large rooms.  Wedgewood South offers three additional levels of care beyond the base level which includes three home-cooked meals daily, all utilities and cable TV, housekeeping and laundry services, scheduled transportation to and from doctors' appointments, and beautifully-decorated common areas.  If you need help with certain daily activities, someone will be there to assist you.  Services are tailored to fit the residents' needs.  Respite care is also available for periods up to 60 days.

New Chapel/Theater Renovation

The existing activities room in the Dover Home is being converted into a combination chapel/theater.  A moveable altar, stained-glass windows, theater-type seats, a large screen for the new projection TV system, and a surround-sound speaker system will make a great worship and entertainment facility available for use by approximately 30 residents at a time.  The room is expected to look something like this:
