Children's Sunday School classes are concluding the summer schedule with "The Colors and Seasons of the Church Year". Summer has flown by, and we are gearing up for a new Sunday School year. On September 7, every member of Christ Lutheran congregation is invited to attend our Open House/Sunday School kickoff. We will meet in the sanctuary for opening. Our hope is that our adult members as well as our children will see the blessings that the rotation Sunday School has given us during the past year. After the opening, we will divide into four groups and go for a brief lesson in each of our four stations for Seasons and Colors of the Church Year. Coffee and muffins will be available after the tour. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
We're still planning to pain the Sunday School rooms before the end of the year. There has been input from the Sunday School students about how they want the rooms decorated, and we're hoping to have walls that they can design themselves. More information will be coming on that.
We are also exploring options for the high school class. We know the students are out there, we'd love for them to come to Sunday School!
We can always use volunteers willing to teach or sub. Don't be shy; just step right up and let us hear from you. Be ready to truly enjoy working with our delightful children.
As we come to the close of our term as Christian Growth Co-Chairmen, we pray that when the nomination committee calls with requests to serve that each of you will look on the request as an opportunity to serve and, in turn, receive many blessings! We all love the children and hope that each one of them will continue to grow in Christ.
Vacation Bible School was held June 22 - 26, 2014
VBS was such a blessed experience. The joyous sounds of nearly 50 children learning to "Trust in God" filled our building inside and out. We again thank our volunteers who taught, cooked, registered, led, acted, and filled various other roles. You made this event possible. Pictures can be viewed on the hall bulletin board. Our Socks for Soldiers program netted more than 100 pairs of cotton socks for this most worthy cause.
Summer Sunday School
Summer Sunday School is focusing on the miracles of Jesus and the colors of the seasons. We can always use volunteers willing to teach or sub. Don't be shy; just step right up and let us hear from you. Be ready to truly enjoy working with our delightful children.
