ALEXA JENNINGS BATTLES OMS
Alexa Jennings was born August 23, 2008, a normal, happy, healthy baby. And she grew and thrived for the first 14 months. All of that changed in October, 2009 -- she went to bed one evening the normal, happy, healthy little girl she had become and awoke the next morning a very sick little girl. It would be days, turning into weeks, before medical personnel were able to diagnose her very rare illness, opsoclonus-myoclonus syndrome (OMS), and begin treatment. In the photo above at Christmas, 2009, she appeared to be recovering. Since that time she has had several serious relapses and is now undergoing some very intensive treatments. A consolidation of these can be seen on the videos link of the above Facebook page Click here for a Lubbock Avalanche-Journal article about the Jennings family. Please keep the whole family, including Alexa, her parents, her grandparents, her aunts, uncles, cousins, and everyone who knows and loves her in your prayers. |
